Physie is a synchronised, team-based sport that’s social and fun and an excellent low impact dance and aerobic activity. Grandmothers, mothers, daughters and granddaughters can all be members of the same Physie club and share their involvement in this unique sport.

From ages 3 to 73, Physie is a sport for life and we cater to all ages and abilities so Physie is an experience you can share right throughout your life. Classes

Physie Fairies 3-4 Years
Our pre-school classes provide a safe and fun environment where girls can develop fundamental movement skills. These skills are learnt through dance, musical interpretations, singing and imaginative games. Your little one will be nurtured and provided with the confidence and support they need to flourish within these critical years of development.
Juniors 5-12 Years
At our club we aim to promote fun, friendships, self-esteem and confidence through dance. Through physie students develop fitness, strength, flexibility, posture, balance, co-ordination and positive attitudes towards a healthy lifestyle. Benefits also include improvement in muscle control, musical interpretation and expression through dance! Friendship building and goal setting are core components of our classes and girls have the ability to compete in individual or team competitions within a fun and nurtured environment. We encourage and facilitate additional social events empowering girls to build and keep life long friendships through physie.
13 - 1st Years and Seniors
The Coastal P.C.C. prides itself on self-esteem and confidence building which are such important aspects of the teen and early adulthood years for young women. Friendships and team building skills are a main focus of classes. As well as building on fitness, flexibility and a healthy body image which are all important lessons for teens and young women to learn.

The ability to undertake individual and/or team competition is also a great opportunity for goal setting and building self belief.

Ladies

Our club looks to create an atmosphere where ladies of all abilities can come and enjoy physie. We aim to cater for both beginners who have never done physie before as well as competitive ladies who have done physie for many years.

Beginers are classed as Novice or Intermediate Ladies, and more experienced ladies enter the Open Ladies sections.

Our ladies classes are fun and friendly and the ladies all enjoy social events together throughout the year. Physie is a great method of self-care, with fitness and strength as core components of the routines. Ladies use these classes as time to focus on themselves.

Performance class
Performance classes are run with the intention of preparing and focusing on the learning and performance of physie routines. These classes are run with less games to enable girls to focus and learn the necessary skills to master all the elements of physie.

The classes are run with an emphasis on improving both technique and flexibility. While these classes will focus on competition preparation, they are not reserved only for girls who are competing but are encouraged for all members. Girls planning to compete can learn the work more thoroughly early in the year.

In the lead up to competitions these classes will also be used for giving individual advice on leotard choices and individual focus for competition preparation.

Stretch class

Stretch classes aim to improve flexibility and technique in a safe and encouraging environment. Students must attend at least 1 core class a week to be eligible to attend stretch class

Barre class

Barre classes aim to improve core strength and technique in a safe and encouraging environment. Students must attend at least 1 core class a week to be eligible to attend barre class

Physie is designed for fun, fitness and friendship. We are a friendly club that is focussed on everyone’s participation and enjoyment.

Build friendships

Lifetime friendships often begin in a physie class or competitions. You have the opportunity to meet people from your local area, and all over the country.

Stay Healthy

Physie is designed to increase strength, fitness and flexibility. Our classes are enjoyable and will challenge you both physically and mentally.
